I am a weaver, well a fibre artist really. My first love of fibre arts was weaving though. My mother taught me to weave when I was about 12 years old. Even before that time I can remember watching her warp her looms and being fascinated by the clicks, clacks and swooshes that those looms made. I also love watching a new fabric unfold right before your eyes. There is something magically about watching a series of unconnected threads becoming a single unit of fabric. It is creation and it is wonderful! I am a re-enactor. I joined the Society for Creative Anachronism in 1995, when I was just a babe :). I loved the beatiful clothing and the idea that there were still knights in shining armor. Now I have my very own knight in the making, but with an Anglo-Saxon persona, there's not a lot of shining armor and I'm OK with that. I have a 7th Century Persian persona in the Society and have taken on several offices of late. I live in the Crown Principality of Insulae Draconis, which lies within the realm of the Kingdom of Drachenwald. I am a teacher. I love to teach and share knowledge within the SCA. I also love to teach high school. I've taught computer and business, but really love when I get to teach English and World History. There's nothing like getting to take your hobby to work! I am a roleplayer. I love playing mages, obviously. I love letting out different quirky bits of my own personality in my characters, especially those that you don't normally get to release in "civilized" society. I am...
